The Children Are Bored on Sundays

“Les enfants s’ennuient le dimanche (the children are bored on sundays)” is a cute short video made for designer eyewear line Oliver Peoples. It stars Shirley Manson of Garbage along with Elijah Wood, a quirky, sexy pair that’s a good match for the brand, which doesn’t seem to be taking itself too seriously. The music is by Zee Avi, who was recently interviewed on Studio 360. There’s a great interview with Police drummer Stewart Copeland on that episode, too, for his new book Strange Things Happen.

Augmenting a Postcard

This demonstrates augmentation of a standard postcard with live video. As opposed to using special image markers for tracking (as with ARToolKit) this form of augmentation can be applied to any complex image. The postcard is tracked using a standard webcam and The Artvertiser software.
